Meet Ophelia King - Medical & Cosmetic Tattoo Specialist
I’m Ophelia King, a specialist medical and cosmetic tattoo artist working from my private clinic in Barnt Green, Worcestershire, close to Birmingham and Bromsgrove. My work spans medical tattooing, scar camouflage, nipple and areola re-pigmentation, scalp micropigmentation and permanent makeup, alongside advanced skin and facial treatments.

But KSkin began with something much more personal. Having experienced mastectomy surgery myself, I understand how changes to your face or body can affect the way you feel about yourself. It was that experience that led me towards medical and cosmetic tattooing, initially working with women experiencing the effects of breast cancer treatment - from facial hair loss to breast reconstruction.

Today I work with clients for many different reasons. Some come to me following surgery, cancer treatment or trauma; others are living with scars, alopecia or thinning hair. Some simply want beautifully considered permanent makeup or an advanced skin treatment that helps them feel more confident. Whatever brings you to KSkin, my approach is the same - highly skilled, individual treatment delivered with honesty, care and an understanding that the smallest physical change can sometimes make an enormous personal difference.
From Personal Experience to Specialist Medical Tattooing
Ophelia's own experience has inevitably shaped the work she does. KSkin originally grew from a desire to offer specialist cosmetic tattooing to women going through breast cancer treatment, including permanent eyebrows and eyeliner for those facing facial hair loss and nipple and areola tattooing following breast surgery and reconstruction.
Ophelia is a highly trained medical and cosmetic tattoo specialist with extensive experience in restorative tattooing, permanent makeup and advanced skin treatments. Her specialist work includes nipple and areola tattooing following breast surgery, scar and stretch mark camouflage, scalp micropigmentation and treatments for clients experiencing hair loss or changes to their appearance following illness, surgery or trauma.

Her professional experience is complemented by something that cannot be taught in a training room. Having experienced mastectomy surgery herself, Ophelia brings first-hand understanding to her work with women following breast cancer treatment and reconstruction. She also works closely with breast cancer groups and receives referrals through her connections with the NHS.

Alongside her work with clients at KSkin, Ophelia is the co-founder and Training Manager of the Medical Tattoo Training Academy, where she trains new and experienced practitioners in specialist techniques including areola tattooing, scar and stretch mark camouflage and medical tattooing. The Academy is a recognised CPD provider, with training covering not only practical tattooing techniques but skin, pigment selection, health and safety, consultation and aftercare.

For Ophelia, continued training and professional development are an essential part of working in a field where technical skill, safety and sensitivity matter equally.

That's why I'm proud to introduce Nicky Hadcroft, a two-time breast cancer thriver, certified hypnotherapist, NLP and RTT practitioner and coach. Nicky supports women through the emotional challenges of breast cancer, drawing on both professional training and her own lived experience.

Through one-to-one coaching, her Thrive Through Chemo online course and the Badass Cancer Thriver Podcast, Nicky offers practical and emotional support to women navigating treatment, recovery and life beyond breast cancer.
