Skin/Scar Camouflage Tattooing
Living with scars can be devastating. Whatever the cause, scarring can damage your self-esteem, wreck your confidence and leave you feeling that part of who you are has been taken away.
This treatment is particularly effective for disguising light coloured scars, such as surgical, burn or trauma
scars, radiation scars, self harm, tummy tuck and belly button, acne and chickenpox scars or small areas of stretch marks. A Minimum of Two treatments will be required.
My scar camouflage treatment delivers hypoallergenic pigments into the skin and can be used for subtle enhancement or dramatic effects, and offers a long-term solution to scarring.
Whatever the circumstances in which you were scarred or left with skin pigmentation damage, I can help
you to step into freedom, to live and enjoy your life.
We can even camouflage your dark circles under your eyes, pigmentations too
Tiny dots of coloured pigment are deposited into the skin using a gentle cosmetic tattooing pen.
This digital pen holds a safe cartridge with a tiny hair-fine needle which moves up and down,
implanting pigment into the skin.
The pigment is gradually built up, creating a natural and realistic effect using artistic use of colour,
shadows and highlights.
During scar camouflage treatments, tiny natural detail, such as freckles and skin texture
can also be recreated. Depending on the sensitivity of your scar tissue, you will be offered
a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area. This will be applied at least 30 minutes before
the procedure is carried out.
A Minimum of 2 treatments are required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at the appointment?
Areola tattooing typically takes 3 sessions and your appointments may take up to 2.5 hours. I will skilfully infuse the colour into your skin while carefully tracing over the pre-drawn template that you’ve chosen.
Will It Hurt?
I want you to be completely comfortable during the treatment. If you still have sensation following your surgery, I will make sure numbing agents are applied and continually check how you’re feeling. My clients usually describe the discomfort as no more than 3 out of 10.
What Happens During The Consultation?
We’ll chat through exactly what you’ would like the end result to be. This will include looking at your areola shape, size, placement and colourings. I will then ‘pre-draw’ the areola and nipple complex using temporary markers and perfectly match the pigment shades to your skin. This is to make sure the correct style and colours are chosen and the finished result is as natural as possible.
What is the recovery time?
You will be able to go straight back to work following the treatment should you wish. Typically the area around your treatment may be slightly red for 36 hours and I will apply a sterile dressing, which you wear under your clothes for up to 5 days. I will also provide you with aftercare products and aftercare instructions.
