What Can A Carbon Laser Peel Treat & How Does It Work?
The carbon settles across the surface of the skin and into the pores before the laser is passed over the treatment area.
As the laser interacts with the carbon, it removes the carbon particles along with surface debris and dead skin cells, while the heat generated within the skin can help reduce excess sebum and improve the appearance of pores.
The result is skin that can look cleaner, smoother and brighter, without the downtime associated with more intensive resurfacing treatments.
A Carbon Laser Peel may be suitable if your main concerns include:
-
Oily or excessively shiny skin
-
Congested skin
-
Enlarged or visible pores
-
Blackheads and comedonal acne
-
Mild to moderate inflammatory acne
-
Uneven or rough skin texture
-
Dull-looking skin
-
General skin rejuvenation
The treatment is performed in two stages. First, a thin layer of carbon lotion is applied to cleansed skin and allowed to dry. The microscopic carbon particles sit on the skin and within the openings of the pores, where they mix with surface debris and sebum. A laser is then passed across the skin. and the energy is absorbed by the carbon particles, causing them to fragment and be removed from the skin. This produces a gentle exfoliating effect, removing carbon together with some of the dead surface skin cells and debris to which it has adhered.
.
What Does The Treatment Feel Like?
Carbon Laser Peels are generally well tolerated. You may feel a snapping or tingling sensation as the laser passes across the carbon, but the treatment should not be significantly painful. You will also hear a distinctive light popping sound as the laser interacts with the carbon particles.
Is There Any Downtime?
One of the advantages of a Carbon Laser Peel is its relatively short recovery time. Your skin may look pink or feel warm immediately afterwards, but this is usually temporary and redness generally resolves within hours. Because the treatment does not intentionally remove or ablate layers of skin in the way that more aggressive resurfacing lasers do, most people can return to their usual activities quickly. I will supply appropriate aftercare advice, including the use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen and avoiding anything that may unnecessarily irritate the skin immediately following treatment.
When will I see results?
Skin can feel smoother and look fresher following treatment, although results vary from person to person and depend upon the concern being treated.
For concerns such as active acne, oiliness or enlarged pores, a course of treatments may be recommended rather than relying on a single session.
Your KSKin practitioner will assess your skin and advise you on an appropriate treatment plan.

Honeycomb Fractional Laser: Full face £299 | Small area £125
Honeycomb Fractional Laser is a non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve the overall tone, texture and firmness of the skin. It can be used to soften the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, sun damage and uneven skin tone, while encouraging a smoother, fresher-looking complexion.
The treatment delivers fractionated 1064nm Q-switched laser energy into targeted areas beneath the skin’s surface. By treating the skin in a precise honeycomb pattern, it stimulates the body’s natural repair response and encourages the production of new collagen and elastin. Because the energy is delivered fractionally, surrounding skin is left untreated, supporting faster recovery than more intensive laser resurfacing procedures. The treatment can be performed across the whole face or used to address a smaller area of concern.
What can Honeycomb Fractional Laser treat?
The treatment may help to improve:
-
Fine lines and early signs of ageing
-
Uneven skin tone and texture
-
Sun damage and areas of pigmentation
-
Enlarged pores
-
Dull or tired-looking skin
-
Mild skin laxity
-
General loss of firmness and radiance
What happens during treatment?
Your skin will be cleansed before the laser is passed methodically across the treatment area. You may feel a gentle warmth, tingling or light snapping sensation as the energy is delivered, although most people find the procedure comfortable.
Treatment usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
Is there any downtime?
The skin may appear pink or feel warm afterwards, and mild swelling can occasionally occur. These effects are generally temporary and tend to settle within a few hours, although they may last longer for some people. Most clients can return to their usual activities straight away. You will be given appropriate aftercare advice, including avoiding unnecessary sun exposure and applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
When will I see results?
Some people notice that their skin looks fresher following treatment, but collagen renewal is a gradual process. Improvements in tone, texture and firmness are therefore expected to develop over the following weeks.
The number of treatments recommended will depend on your skin, the concerns being addressed and the results you hope to achieve. A course of treatments may be advised for the best outcome, followed by occasional maintenance appointments where appropriate. A consultation will allow us to assess your skin, discuss what the treatment can realistically achieve and create a plan tailored to you.
