High Intensity Focused Ultrasound

An advanced cosmetic, non-surgical treatment that produces thermal energy in various layers of the skin to reduce wrinkles, improve skin tone, and tighten the skin.

HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up stimulating the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin.

HIFU has many aesthetic benefits, including:

• wrinkle reduction

• tightening sagging skin on the neck (sometimes called turkey neck)

• lifting the cheeks, eyebrows, and eyelids

• enhancing jawline definition

• tightening of the décolletage

HIFU is not only used to create great results on the face. It can also be used for body sculpting in areas you may have particular problems with such as the stubborn fat around our hips (affectionately known as our love handles) or even the upper under arms areas (those pesky bingo wings!). 

Suitable for both men and women, the results will vary dependent upon your existing skin elasticity, not necessarily related to your age. 

This increase in collagen results in tighter, firmer skin with fewer wrinkles. Since the high-frequency ultrasound beams are focused on a specific tissue site below the skin’s surface, there’s no damage to the upper layers of the skin and adjacent issue.

Some clients will experience warming or even slight tingling in the area being treated but at kskin we take all precautions to ensure the discomfort is minor, moving on to another area if the feeling is too intense for you.
